SynChart
Pros: SynChart is a personal health record management
tool. Videos provide a preview to the interface. The software appears relatively
easy-to-use and is menu driven. Users may generate written reports for reference.
Cons: Individual subscriptions cost $9.95 USD for one year.
Family subscriptions for up to 8 members are quite costly at $39.95 USD
for one year. There is no free trial, so potential users cannot test the
software prior to purchase. Synchart upgrade (merging single and family
pans) costs $29.95 to merge and the $39.95 annually thereafter. The Member
ID Card is $5 and refrigerator magnet kit is $2.25. The File of Life Car
Pouch with two ID cards is $1.25.
The Bottomline: SynChart is a fee-based PHR for individuals
or families. There is no free preview for users to try the interface prior
to purchase. Pricing is quite expensive, especially when there is only a
limited video tour rather than a free trial or test page.
