So Tell Me

Pros: The So Tell Me system is an option for patients looking to keep a personal health record on their person. Patients should travel with medical records in order to supply medical personnel with their most pertinent health data. The So Tell Me products are a simplistic personal health records system. The company does not provide frequent updated versions on its products.

Cons: The paper versions of the system can be time-consuming to fill out and keep updated. The computer systems can be revised and updated frequently without the need to carry around a bulky folder with miscellaneous documents.

The Bottomline: Instead of purchasing the traditional So Tell Me system, patients should opt for the USB or CD drive versions. The computer versions cost slightly more, but are worth the upgrade. The most cost effective option is to purchase the blank drive with the logo and upload the forms manually.

Additional Paper Formats
The flash drive is not the only option available to So Tell Me system customers. A pre-assembled binder is available with tabs to organize health records and medical information. The standard binder comes with twenty forms, fifteen tabs, a zippered pouch and pocket pages.

Multiple Categories
Forms are preloaded onto the CD and flash drive and can be accessed once inserted into a computer with a compatible operating system. Fifteen categories of medical information are available for the patient to provide on the blank forms.

Vital Information
The blank forms uploaded onto the CD or flash drive can be saved and synced for up to date medical recordkeeping. All forms are broken down into four main sections: personal details, medical, medicinal and observational. For the personal details, the patient is expected to provide contacts and emergency numbers. The medical sections record each doctor’s visit, lab tests and emergency room treatment. The medicinal section will list all prescription drugs and supplements the patient is currently taking. Observational forms are made available for symptom tracking, diet recordkeeping, monitoring medication reaction and keeping track of a person’s exercise routine.

Insurance Claim Tracking
The software program from So Tell Me includes excel spreadsheets to use to track insurance claims. Saved spreadsheets can be reviewed at anytime by putting the CD or flash drive into a compatible computer.

Operating Systems
So Tell Me works on both Windows and Mac operating systems. Requirements include Windows 2000 or later, Microsoft Office 2000 or later, Adobe Reader 7.0 or later and Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or later.

Ideal for Seniors
To help appeal to senior patients, the forms are customized with the older adult in mind. The print is larger on the documents and it also includes areas to include Medicare information.
