RelayHealth
Pros: RelayHealth has broken down its solutions for healthcare
providers. It is geared toward clinics, hospitals, military health systems,
pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacies, business partners, and physicians.
Cons: The solutions are broken down dependent upon what
the healthcare professional needs. The site has an overwhelming amount of
information.
The Bottomline: RelayHealth no longer offers a traditional
PHR. The company offers a documentation program to physicians that allows
PHR information to be entered into the company’s software.

Summary:
RelayHealth is a suite of tools
geared towards making healthcare providers’ problems easier to deal with.
Several solutions are offered for each role, including for the doctor/patient
relationship.

Features:
____________________________________________________________
RelayClinical Documentation
This is the solution offered to physicians to efficiently document and order
treatment and share information with other providers by using document templates
with free text and embedded ordering. The platform is supposed to integrate
a PHR with a physician’s notes to engage a patient and encourage more participation
in their care.
RelayClinical eScript
This feature automatically screens for patient allergies related to previous
medications. New meds are automatically added to the generated PHR. Refills
and renewals are done online to streamline the process.
Multiple Solutions
Analytics, cashflow assurances, collections, communicator, documentation,
eScript, orders, and results are all offered as patient care roles. On the
site there is no sign of the PHR for review. It all seems to be geared toward
making the provider’s role easier by allowing them to distance themselves
from the patient.
