MyVirtualHealthCheck
Pros: MyVirtualHealthCheck is a personal health management
system designed to help users manage health and medical details. The free
plan will work for users without complex medical issues. A mobile version
that integrates with the online tool is available from the iTunes store
for iPod touch and iPhone for $1.99.
Cons: The paid plans are quite pricey. The free basic plan
will work well for some, but paid plans with expanded options are offered
at $9.99 or $23.99 per month. Username and password both require 8 characters
with at least one number. These may be difficult for some users to create
and remember. The biggest drawback is that this application does not provide
any record entry or management for medications or medical conditions. For
example, tracking blood pressure would be more effective paired with medication
information.
The Bottomline: For those looking for a way to monitor
glucose, BP, pulse, or weight, this may be a helpful tool. This program
does NOT provide a comprehensive view of a user’s medical status or health.
