My Family Health Portrait by HHS.gov
Pros: This is a web-based family health record tool developed
by the US Surgeon General. It is free, secure, and Internet-based. The tool
may be embedded in PHRs or EHRs. The interface is extremely easy to use
and users can have basic information entered within minutes.
Cons: This is not a comprehensive PHR tool. This is a tracker
for family history of medical conditions. There is no area for recording
medications or other health-related data.
The Bottomline: For those wanting a tool for recording
and tracking familial health and medical conditions, this is an easy-to-use
tool. The downside is the lack of PHR features. This program is simply for
tracking conditions, not maintaining health records.
