CheckUp: The Complete Personal Health Manager
Pros: CheckUp offers a 30-day, free trial offer so that
users may try the interface prior to purchase. Several features are available,
including a graphing feature to track weight, blood pressure, cholesterol,
or other progress.
Cons: Checkup requires users to download the program onto
your personal computer rather than supporting and maintaining information
securely online. After the 30 day trial, $29.95 USD covers unlimited technical
support and software updates for CheckUp 1.0. Apparently, support is discontinued
when a new version is released. Currently, CheckUp is not compatible with
Mac OS. Data is not backed up online. You cannot view the app until you
download.
The Bottomline: CheckUp is a comprehensive PHR tool for use on
a personal computer. Data is not backed up online. The cost is noted; however,
the price of ongoing updates is unclear. It would be worth clarifying the
cost of updates prior to use, though this version seems very comprehensive.

Features:
____________________________________________________________
Journal
This section is useful for personal notes about visits to healthcare providers,
medication changes, or other notes. It is a fast way to add data.

Profile
Within the profile, users record data into the following categories: generally,
heart, vision, habits, allergies, children, providers, family history, diet
& fitness, medications, immunizations, procedures, illnesses/diseases/injuries.
Expenses
This area generates a report of medical related expenses based on date and
category.
Assessment
By using date entered by the user, the program calculates risks for diabetes
and heart disease. Users may set up other types of goal progress as well.
This ties in well with the Graphing section.
