Capzule PHR
Pros: Capzule PHR is a completely portable personal health
record tool. It is available as an application from the iTunes store and
is compatible with iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad devices. This is a very
reasonable tool for only $0.99. There is also a free version. This is a
very thorough and well thought out app.
Cons: This app is only compatible with Apple products capable
of running apps. All data must be entered and stored on the device. There
is no option for a PC, Mac, or Android users, though a web port may be opened
to connect to a web browser.
The Bottomline: Users of iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad will
benefit from using this PHR. The $0.99 price tag is incredible for this
very comprehensive mobile app. The only drawback is that it is limited to
those Apple devices.

Information may viewed in the form of a line graph that displays information over time. This can assist users in tracking medication use, symptoms, or other vital health information for analysis and evaluation.
Easy, Intuitive Interface
During review, the free version was tested on an iPad. The app was fast and simple to use. Each screen had sections for entering data such as conditions, allergies, meds, appointments, and more. When adding data, a popup screen opened offering prompts for the needed information. For example: the medication addition screen had blanks for name of med, start date, a toggle switch for indicating whether this is a current med, end date if applicable, strength, dosage, frequency, prescribing doctor, and a space for notes.
Appointment Notification
Capzule PHR has integrated a push feature for notifying users of appointments entered into the application.
Sharing
Data may be shared with other compatible devices over a Wi-Fi connection. Data may also be shared via email – including graphs. Users are able to connect to the app via computer through the use of a web port. Data migration from the free to paid app is supported.

Customize
Users have the ability to create custom health screening tracking templates
in addition to the lab result and vital sign templates provided. All entries
in these sections may be viewed in graph format for tracking.
