GTI Patient Power
Pros: Globe Tele Imaging’s (GTI) Patient Power is a personal
health record tool that consolidates your personal health data in one easy-to-access
and secure place online. All data is stored on GTI’s cloud-based server,
allowing users to update and retrieve stored data from an Internet-connected
computer at any hour of the day. There are four levels of health record
management plans available; patients can choose the PHR plan that they deem
fit to their personal needs and budget.
The more expensive the plan, the more complex tools and options are available.
Yet even the free basic plan features an extensive, detailed record folder.
If you want to be able to access your medical information from your smartphone,
GTI is now offering low priced PHR mobile apps for individual or family
users, too.
Cons: While the user interface is intuitive and friendly
– just click a tab then input data, the design looks outdated. Non-basic
services are pricier than most PHR systems; fees start at $25. Information
found on the main GTI Patient Power website is very sparse, and some tabs
in the demo do not work.
The Bottomline: Patient Power is an individual and family-oriented
personal health record tool developed by Globe Tele Imaging (GTI). Its user
interface allows users to self-track health and store their key medical
information. The basic service is free, but those who want to avail advanced
tools should be prepared to pay the associated fees.

and lab test results. The type of health record tools available to the user
depends on the type of PHR plan used.

Features:
____________________________________________________________
My Medical Folder
This is GTI’s central feature, designed as repository of patient health
information. The highly detailed and well-structured table-like folders
feature a variety of tabs. Since the information is stored in the cloud,
information is available to users from any Internet -connected computer.
There are tabs for an extensive variety of medical information including
health history, chronic conditions, lab test data, medications, and allergies.
For patients undergoing cancer treatment, the Mammography and Radiology
sections help them keep track of their medical treatment schedules. The
medical folder was created by a panel of primary care physicians.

Multiple Health Plans
GTI Patient Power features four health levels of service. Level
One is GTI’s basic PHR plan. While use is free of charge, only
the My Medical Folder is available to the patient. Level Two
includes Level One services as well as 24-hour access to customer support,
direct communication with your primary care physician, and a CD-R formatted
Personal Electronic Record Carrier. Level 2 service costs $25. Level
3 combines Level 1 and 2 services, as well as the option to add
up to 10 scanned medical documents to the My Medical Folder. Service charge
is also $25. Level Four has all the features of Level 3
plus users are able to upload radiological images to the PHR folder.
